We Need Your Help!

We're always looking for more volunteer power at CVAS, and we'd love your help in any way you can offer, whether that's your time, a particular skill, or general expertise. We're also collecting a few items to improve our outreach program.

Ways to Volunteer:

  • Lead a field trip
  • Participate in an outreach event: help with set-up, tear-down, or staffing the booth
  • Help plan, prepare, set up, or tear down for our annual dinner/fundraiser
  • Serve as a docent for our annual garden tour
  • Handle hard copy mailing for our monthly newsletter
  • Write thank-you notes or comments supporting bird-friendly policy and conservation, or research and write short articles on these topics for the website and/or newsletter
  • List and sell items on Facebook Marketplace or eBay (pricing research, listing, packaging, and shipping)
  • Assist with membership tasks like welcome letters and keeping membership lists current
  • Take on a board position. We currently have 2 openings:
    • Conservation Chair: writes a monthly newsletter article and attends the monthly board meeting (via Zoom)
    • Education Chair: coordinates presentations for clubs, libraries, classrooms, after-school programs, and similar groups. Materials and slide decks are already in place, so you won't be starting from scratch. Also attends the monthly board meeting (via Zoom)

Any amount of time you can give makes a difference. It takes a village to pull off our events, and we'd welcome your help. If you're interested, contact us at info@conejovalleyaudubon.org.

Items Needed:

We're also collecting a few items for our outreach program and storage unit. Donations are welcome and much appreciated, and donated items must be in good working order (new or gently used).

Thank you for being part of what makes CVAS such a strong community. We couldn't do this work without volunteers like you.
