DESCRIPTION:The Piute Ponds are one of the premier birding hotspots in Los Angeles County\, but we need to get special permission and background checks to access them\, as they are located on Edwards Air Force Base property.  \n\n\n\nWe are planning to go the Saturday after Thanksgiving\, so background checks need to be submitted by November 1.  \n\n\n\nIf you are interested\, please email us at fieldtrips@conejovalleyaudubon for the background check form.  \n\n\n\nSpace is limited\, so act quickly.

SUMMARY:Beginner Bird Walk - Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa
DESCRIPTION:Conejo Valley Audubon invites birders of all experience levels to attend our monthly Beginner Bird Walk.  \n\n\n\nRancho Sierra Vista is an excellent place to see many of the oak woodlands birds that are common in the Conejo Valley area. We will take time to introduce beginning birders to these species and teach the best techniques for locating and identifying them. Wear comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing\, and bring water. \n\n\n\nThese walks are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
